Access Zen By Deezer With A Deezer Family Account

There are two Deezer Family account types:

  • A profile that does not have personal login credentials (email address and password). To log in you must use the admin’s credentials
  • An independent account, which uses your own personal login credentials

If you have a Deezer Family account, to subscribe to Zen by Deezer using your Deezer account, you must convert your Family profile into your own independent account. You can find out how below.

Warning: You cannot subscribe to Zen by Deezer with a Deezer Family profile. You must have an independent account

How to convert your Deezer Family profile into an independent account

You must be on the Deezer app to convert your profile into an independent account:

  1. When you are logged in with your profile, go to Settings Settings.png
  2. Select Add an email address and password
  3. Enter an email address and password for your account

Alternatively, if you are the admin and want to convert another profile:

  1. When you are logged in with the admin profile, go to Settings Settings.png
  2. Select Family Members
  3. Select the three dots ThreeDotsHorizontal.svg menu next to the profile you want to convert
  4. Select Convert this profile into an independent account
  5. Enter an email address and password for the account

    Note: When the account admin has converted a profile into an independent account, the owner of that independent account will be logged out. They will need to use the credentials entered by the admin to log back in

Once you have created your independent account, you can go to the Zen by Deezer app and log in with the credentials you just created and subscribe. More information about logging in with a Deezer account can be found here.

Warning: You are able to convert profiles into independent accounts even if the Family account no longer has an active subscription. If this happens, the owner of the independent account will no longer be part of the Family account. They will have their own credentials as a Deezer Free account

What to do if you have already subscribed to Zen by Deezer with a Deezer Family profile
